TRIP REQUIREMENTS

As your Tour Operator and Outfitter in Nepal, it is very important that you (the client) and us (the travel company) collaborate and co-operate regarding your trip and requirements for your trip. It is a must to ensure a safe and pleasing Trekking in Nepal experience for you. We as outfitters in Nepal expect your co-operation in this regard as Trekking in Nepal at times can be demanding, physically challenging and mentally disturbing. Having the right gears for your trek holds the key of safety and pleasure.

For all clients wishing to go for the ultimate Trekking in Nepal Experience in the forms of demanding treks like Everest Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Sanctuary Trek or Annapurna Circuit Trek, we as your local outfitter in Nepal have to remind you to be very careful about your gears and make sure they are in good shape. For a pleasant Trekking in Nepal Experience on must remember to pack light but pack right.

Requirements depend upon the adventures you wish to indulge in whilst in Nepal and also your personal preferences along with your health conditions.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TREKKING IN NEPAL:

TREKKING GEARS
• Hiking boots
• Gaiters
• 2 ski pole [folding]

TECHNICAL CLOTHINGS
• Polypro or Capaline long underwear (2 sets)
• Pile jacket and pants (pants must have full separating side zips)
• GoreTex shells (top and bottoms, bottoms must have full separating side zips)
• Down jacket (medium to heavy weight)

MITTS & GLOVES
• Light synthetic gloves - 3pr (Capaline or Polypropaline)
• Wool (or pile) mitts and Gor-Tex over mitts

SOCKS
• Wool or pile socks (4pr light liners, 4pr heavy liners)

HEADGEAR
• Head lamp (spare bulbs and batteries)
• Glacier
• Sun glasses
• Wool or pile hat

SLEEPING
• Sleeping bag (expedition quality, rated to 0 or -15F)
• Sleeping pads (1)

TRAVELING
• Day pack: Internal frame pack 5,000 cu.in.
• Water bottles (2 one-liter large mouth)
• SteriPen - water filter
• Lip sunscreen
• Large duffel bag for transporting all your gear at airports and on pack animals.
• Toiletry bag
• Personal first aid kit


REQUIREMENTS FOR PEAK CLIMB IN NEPAL:

(i) Boots, Crampons, Gaiters
- Light hiking boots
- Double boots (plastic)
- Gaiters
- Crampons (step-in bindings preferred)

(ii) Climbing Tools
- Ice Axe: (standard; around 65-70 cm, depending on height)
- Seat harness:
- Locking carabineers: 2 (Automatic locking type with large pear shape)
- 2 folding- ski pole

(iii) Technical Clothings
- Polypro or Capaline long underwear (2 sets)
- Pile jacket and pants (pants must have full separating side zips)
- Gore Tex shells (top and bottoms, bottoms must have full separating side zips)
- Down jacket (medium to heavy weight)

(iv) Mitts and Gloves

- Gaiters
