During the peak trekking season of September, October and November, the whole route of Muktinath Ghorepani Trek is overrun with trekkers.
There is a good reason for this popularity, Muktinath Ghorepani Trek is an easy trek but offers spectacular views and takes you right into the heart of Hinduism in the form of the temple of Muktinath. Muktinath Ghorepani Trek is relatively easy except for a day or so out of Pokhara. The climb does not go above 13,000 feet and hence most trekkers will not be bothered by altitude sickness.
One will enjoy spectacular views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Mountain) all along the route. The trail of Muktinath Ghorepani Trek passes through many interesting villages inhabited by different ethnic groups of Nepal. Trekkers climb from lush low land forests to the arid wastelands of the upper Kali Gandaki, where the landscape is similar to the Tibetan plateau.
You will enjoy a visit to Muktinath temple located at 3,798 meters above the sea level and get the unique opportunity to understand and explore the Hindu Religion at one of the most worshipped and valued temples of the religion during the Muktinath Ghorepani Trek.
