The massive Annapurna and Dhaulagri Mountains dominate the Central part of Nepal, and this route North of Pokhara takes us right into a stunning wilderness with a 360-degree panorama of spectacular Himalayan peaks.

Starting in the tropical lowland villages around Pokhara, we enter the Modi Khola Gorge and follow the route under Machhapuchhare (6,997 meters) and enter the hidden world of Annapurna Sanctuary. We trek to Deorali Pass, where some 3,200 meters below run the Kali Gandaki River through the deepest valley in the world. To the East stands the mighty Mount Annapurna I (8,091meters) and to the West is an immense massif of Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters) along with many other snow-capped mountains. These most awe-inspiring and unforgettable mountains make trekkers want to stay there forever. The view is literally majestic. A circular route brings us back to complete a truly memorable trek.

Believed by local Gurungs as a place of the Gods, the Annapurna Sanctuary is indeed something very special. From Pokhara, we head to Ghandruk and follow the Modi River through bamboo and rhododendrons to the sanctuary located at some 4,070 meters above the sea level. Ringed by snow-covered peaks of 6, 7 and 8 thousand meters and crashing glaciers, it is indeed a trekker’s paradise and it is only ironic that locals believe the same but for different reasons.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek (Annapurna Base Camp Trek) also offers mountaineers with a opportunity to attempt trekking peaks including Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak) rising as high as 5,663 meters; Himchuli (Snow peak) rising 6,641 meters or Fluted peak rising to 5,663 meters above the sea level.

A spectacular panorama from POONHILL of the Annapurna mountain ranges will also be a moment one can never forget in his / her life. The Annapurna Sanctuary Trek or popularly also known as Annapurna Base Camp Trek is bound to meet your expectations when it comes to nature, culture and wilderness with snow capped mountains that do the icing on the cake giving one the ultimate experience of Trekking in Nepal.
