Of the many great rivers, below are the rivers in which rafting can be enjoyed at its best and are recommended by outfitters in Nepal. For short rafting add on we recommend Trisuli River and Sunkoshi River as they are very near the Kathmandu Valley.

TRISULI RIVER

The Trisuli River flows from Gosainkund where according to legend it is believed that Lord Shiva released the waters of the holy lakes with his trident (trishul). After its first confluence to the Mahesh Khola, Trisuli River follows the Trisuli Valley to Mugling and later again in confluence with the Marshyangdi rivers, this large river thus formed flows South to become the Narayani river. Most of the rafting in Nepal is done on this part of the river, which finally emerges at the Royal Chitwan National Park.

SUNKOSHI RIVER

For this rafting experience, we will take you from Kathmandu to Dolalghat early in the morning which is about 3 hours drive. We start rafting on one of the world's ten best river, namely Sunkoshi. The first two days full of fun as we will be spending a lot of time along the bank of the river and rest of the days in whitewater of class IV/V rapids. Raft ends at Chatara from where we transfer you back to to Kathmandu via Dharan.

Rafting at Sunkoshi River can be enjoyed from ONE day to EIGHT days depending on the time you have available for this breathtaking adventure.

Rafting Ending Point - Chatara
River Distance - Approximately 272 kilometers

KARNALI RIVER

Karnali is ont the most famous rivers of Nepal. The first day Bus to Surkhet and two days trek to Karaleghat is the rafting Starting Point. The next day we start rafting in whitewater for five days and spend three more days in the calm section of the river. Raft ends at Chisapani.

River Distance - Approximately 180 Kilometers
Minimum People: 4 persons for usual transfer

KALIGANDAKI RIVER

This trip will take you to majestic Pokahara and the mighty Kaligandaki is the river for rafting. The early day transfer to Pokhara and overnight stay at hotel after pre-departure briefing. Next day we drive three hours to Nayapul, Kusma by mini coach. Start five days Kaligandi Rafting. On fifth day, after lunch drive back to Pokhara by mini coach.

Best Season - Late September through May
Rafting Starting Point - Nayapul, Kusma
Rafting Ending Point - Ramdighat
River Distance - Approximately 92 Kilometers

MARSHYANGDI RIVER

Marsyangdi River Rafting is one of the most popular ones in Nepal and raft itself is more than just white water and pedal. You will enjoy the nature around you throughout the whole rafting. We will start the trip with transfer from Kathmandu to Besishar via Dumre and camp at Beshisahar. The raft itself starts from the second day through fourth day. On fourth day transfer from Bimalnagar back to Kathmandu.

River Grade - Class IV / V
Best Season - Mid March to mid April and Mid November to mid December
Rafting Starting Point - Beshishar
Rafting Ending Point - Bimalnagar
River Distance - Approximately 43 kilometers
